Not the same. Noted.

Bet that title made you think this was going to be a heartfelt post.

It isn’t.

It’s about Craft and Commerce. A hip gastropub in Little Italy.

Was hip. Now its a try-too-hard eatery that everyone, their mother and tries-too-hard uncle knows about.

This in no way is me claiming my original hipster badge, but it is me claiming the sad facts of a now-known old favorite. More people means more of a wait and less-than-great service.

I don’t need to sit here and complain about the length of time it took to even be greeted by our waiter or the fact that he looked at us dumbfounded when we asked to “surprise us” with a whiskey-ginger beverage of the bartenders choice. I don’t need to do that.

The Lay Lady Lay drink was still delicious and so was the company. We’ll keep the company and head elsewhere from here on out.

Shmaft and Shmommerce.
